System Analyses for Connection Study of Thermal Power Plant 350MW to Transmission Network of Serbia

Activities about construction of the TPP 350MW capacity are currently in the starting phase of the construction. This power plant should be designed in accordance with the best available technology and fulfill environmental standards of the European Union.
To be sure, about feasibility of optimum technical integration of the proposed unit(s) into the 400kV transmission system, there is a need to check that the transmission network in Serbia will accommodate connection of such plant at 400kV voltage level. Consequently, a feasibility Study of connection of the TPP to the Serbian transmission network was performed. The study answered and gave the evidence, using a model calculation, under which conditions is possible to install, operate with, and connect the TPP to the network on particular site.
The aim of the study is to thoroughly examine the possibility of constructing the TPP, which is to be connected to the transmission network of Serbia, considering the state of 400, 220 and 110kV network (in the vicinity of TPP) in future period till 2019 and to provide the best possible solution for its connection.
The objective of the study was to verify that the transmission network of Serbia will not be jeopardized, or to propose the solution for secure, reliable and qualitative delivery of electric power energy from the TPP to the EPS of Serbia.
The verification of the generator block- diagram according to network code of Serbia was performed.
