Transmission grid in the southeast region of Northern Macedonia is approaching the end of the lifecycle and is a candidate for reconstruction. In addition, there are contingency cases with a higher risk of security of supply. Goal of the study is to analyze possible options for network development and identify the feasible solution from technical, economic and environmental point of view. It was as well necessary to prepare economical and bankable documentation of the proposed solution in accordance with IFI-s standards.
