ENTSO-E defined the document on European Merging Function (EMF) requirements, which defines the requirements for the development, validation and merging of network models on the level of ENTSO-E. These requirements are to be applied by the companies carrying the role of EMF, i.e. Regional Security Cooperation Initiatives (RSC), through the development of corresponding software solutions. The document also defines the gradual transition from UCTE data format to CGMES format, and the intermediate procedure of Hybrid Merging, until the final implementation of CGMES format.
This project is the 2nd phase of the previous project, the project tasks are the same: the support to ENTSO-E dedicated Working Group WG4 in testing and validation of individual network models (IGM), practicing hybrid merging procedures and producing Common Grid Models (CGM) and the assistance to ENTSO-E in final development of EMF requirements. These tasks should be followed by the corresponding adjustments of TNA software, which is one of the European Merging Function tools made by EKC & DMS, and which is used by RSC SCC.
Type of services provided:
- IGM models validation
- CGM - hybrid merging
- Testing reports
- Participation at ENTSOE WP4 meetings
