The main goals of this consulting project are:
- Analyse and evaluate the methodologies for the Cost sharing by Redispatching in two European regions: Northern Borders of Italy (NBI) and CORE region (central-eastern and central-western Europe). The candidate methodologies are:
- Power Flow Colouring (PFC), developed by EKC within the FutureFlow project
- ePFC, modification of PFC developed by TERNA
- Full Line Decomposition (FLD), developed by TenneT
- Power Flow Decomposition (PFD), developed by RTE
- Analyse and evaluate the results and effects of the ENTSO-E Study on Bidding Zone revision in the Continental Europe, assessing the network and market implications of the following Bidding Zone resolutions:
- Big Country Split, where Germany, France and Poland are split into two zones; Austria is also delimitated from Germany zone
- Big Country Split 2, where Germany and France are split into three zones, Poland split into two zones and Austria eliminated from Germany zone.
- DE/AT Split where in comparison to current Bidding Zone configuration only Germany and Austria are split
- Small country merge, where merge of BE/NL and CZ/SK zones are merged
