Analyses within this Study are done from the aspect of delivery of power and energy to Electric Power System (EPS) of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), considering the safety criteria and the lowest costs of connection. One of the main objectives of the Study was to propose and prove, using transmission network models for the analyses, how and under which conditions is possible to connect the power plant to the transmission system at the planned construction site, and under the assumed operating regimes of this power plant. The planned year of commissioning of the power plant is between 2022 and 2025.
When considering the possibility of connection and defining potential technical solutions for connection, the medium-term and long-term plans for the development of transmission power systems of BiH is considered.
Based on the comparative techno-economic investment analysis, the Feasibility Analysis of the technical solution of the power plant connection determined the most favourable way of connecting 50MW (at least) to the transmission network in four connection variants.
The maximum capacity of the power plant is analysed for each connection variant, if this is feasible without additional investments in the transmission network, unless there are no other solution but to invest in more electricity equipment.
The analysis of defining the maximum possible connection power of WPP Morina should is done for two (2) connection variants, taking into account the status of HPP Ljuta power plant (14 MW).
Type of services provided:
- Proposals for the connection points of the new production facility
- Load flow calculation and steady state analysis
- Load flow calculation and voltage profile analyses for security N-1 criteria
- Estimation of transmission network investment costs necessary for the connection of new power plant
- Short-circuits currents for single and three-phase faults according to the IEC 60909 standard on the busbars of the transmission grid
