Future Flow Project is Launched
EU-funded research & innovation project "Future Flow" has been launched, with kick-off meeting held in Lubljana 27/28 January 2016, with participation of European Commission, ELES as coordinator and 11 other partner companies from Europe, including EKC.
At 3rd of February the opening ceremony was held, hosted by Slovene government and ELES.
Future Flow is a 4-year project which aims at the investigation and building the advanced IT prototype platform for balancing and redispatching among the four European TSOs (Austria, Hungary, Romania and Slovenia),which would involve also the aggregated offers from distributed generation and demand-side management.
Consortium involves 12 companies; Besides the four TSOs, the power system experts and institutes, electricity retailers, and IT providers are involved.
EKC is coordinating the work at two out of eight working packages:
WP1: Designing prototype of Common Activation platform for cross-border integration of FRR markets with distributed generation and demand response and WP7: Dissemination and Communication.
