Eastern Africa Regional Transmission Planning Partnership (EATP)

The first East African regional network planning model has been released.

At the beginning of November, EKC, as model integrator, has successfully integrated national models from EATP countries (Ethiopia, Burundi, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda) into one regional model.

The regional model is now ready for load flow analyses which will be conducted to investigate possible transmission bottlenecks between the participating countries, having in mind large scale interconnection projects in the region in the nearest future.
