Load Flow PSS/E Software Workshop

As part of the Ukraine Power System Support Project (UPSSP) the United States Energy Association (USEA), in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), organized a workshop on using a national PSS/E model of the Ukrainian Power System for load flow modeling and NTC calculations upon the NPC Ukrenergo request in Kiev.

The four-day-and-a-half training course was provided by Electricity Coordination Center (EKC).

The main objective of the workshop was to repopulate the number of Ukrenergo PSS/E users to expedite the process of the Ukraine Power System connection to ENSO-E.

The training covered the following:

• Data Modeling,
• Simulations & Data Manipulation,
• Contingency Analysis and Basic Usage of Built-in Macros,
• NTC Calculation,
• Merging of Models,
• Creation of Network Equivalents).
