DIgSILENT PowerFactory Advanced Training Course for the Ivory Coast’s TSO

For Ivory Coast’s Transmission system operator (TSO) CI-Energies a two-week advanced course has been held in DIgSILENT PowerFactory software usage. Client: Pacomm Ltd. (Serbia) / CESI (Italy) and USAID
Conducted course comprised of theoretical background and practical examples on real power system simulation model related to the following topics:
- Quasi-dynamic simulation
- Power system stability basics
- DIgSILENT PowerFactory global library with generic dynamic models
- Basic principles in dynamic modeling and conducting stability analysis in DIgSILENT PowerFactory
- Modeling and testing of standard exciters, turbine governors and stabilizers
- Modeling of SVC and STATCOM controllers
- Modeling and testing of user-defined dynamic models via DIgSILENT Simulation Language (DSL) module
- Static and dynamic network reduction
- Disturbance event analysis via DIgSILENT PowerFactory software
- Modeling and analysis of diesel engine dynamic models
- Time-domain analysis Simulation Scanning.
Type of services provided:
- Theoretical background in power system stability and development of non-standard user-defined dynamic models
- Practical exercises on conducting quasi-dynamic simulation and transient stability analysis on real power system models
- Practical exercises on modeling of standard types of exciters, turbine governors and stabilizers
- Practical exercises on modeling and testing of user-defined regulators based on available power plant documentation
